My fiancé and I adopted Moose, a 3 year old boxer, from SCRS about 9 months ago. We had just bought our first home and I convinced Gaetan it was time to get a dog. It was important to us that we rescue a dog so I started scouring the shelters. When I saw Moose's big, lovable brown eyes, I was hooked. Moose is well named ? he?s a huge, strong boxer with this giant head. When we first brought him home, he was a perfect gentleman? until he got comfortable. Then Moose started to test his boundaries and show off his personality, getting into trouble and making us laugh. We adore him and he definitely has me wrapped around his paw -- and as much as Gaetan tries to deny it, he's fallen for Moose's charms as well! Sara Moose -- Adopted Oct 14/12

We adopted Dash (formerly Dante) last December when he was 3 months old. He has turned into a wonderful pet. Easy to train, likes everyone, loves doggy daycare, very smart, and after playing hard snuggles up and cuddles. I can't say enough about what great dog he is. Thank you Sundance. Thank you Sundance for enriching my spirit. For over a year I was part of the Sundance Team and have truely been amazed at the dedication, perseverance, expence, time and love put into the dogs I have witnessed. It hasn't been 1 or 2 token hard cases, but a whole stream of special needs and special vet bills. You took on dogs that most would not, you helped people look beyond the injuries to the spirit within. You have cried at being too late for some and raced to be in time for others. I think of the lives you have enriched (both canine and human) and will always admire your determination to go that extra mile. In early december my boyfriend and I adopted Ziggy with a whole lot of love to give. We watched him grow to a shy little pup in to a pup with a loving personality. He was alway there to welcome us home with a waging tail and little piddles of excitement (you know, the puppy thing) We watched him grow up loving the snow, running in big open fields, playing fetch and starting to love water.Sadly the day came where my boyfriend and I had to let him go. Taking him back to Sundance was the hardest thing we both had ever had to do. We still have a lot of love to give Ziggy and think of him often. It was like letting a baby go. To those people who adopt Ziggy once more, please be ready for a dog full of energy (mostly outside, inside he is calm), full of fun and definatly full of love. Please be patient with him because he can be queit stubborn because he has a mind of his own. Please give him a warm welcoming home & hope the love you can give this furry critter is forever lasting! Jasmine, aka Doll is a wonderful addition to our family. She is the sweetest, most loving dog to all who meet her, be they human or animal. She treats all with respect even if they come in squirrel form, gopher or jack rabbit. She says hello how are you? and never chases or barks. Just a happy hello and she is happy. She had a few issues with her health being recently diagnosed with Addisons disease but with great vet care she is happy and healthy once again. She was not ready to leave her new family quite yet and for that I am grateful. thank you sundance for finding and watching over her till she could come into my life. Thank you to Sundance and the adoption day at Mutts Adored for helping us find Levi. He's been such a perfect addition to our family, for our other dog, our cats, but mostly for us humans. He has been with us for 5 months and is doing so well. He's the most laid back, happy and lovable boy, and are so glad to have been able to have the opportunity to adopt him.
